Had a bottle of wine burst in my luggage soaking my Jarbidge synthetic UQ. Does anyone have advice on how I should go about washing it?

Hey Icedfire, The only things to avoid would be harsh detergents as they may strip the DWR from the fabrics. I would start with a long water rinse in a clean tub (not in a washing machine) From there move to either Nikwax Gear Wash or Dreft Powder baby detergent. The next step would be up to something like Club soda....think that is one for wine stains ....If you get that far then I would really recommend a good bath for the quilt in the Nikwax Gear Wash to clean out any thing followed by a lot of rinsing.
Hope that helps...let me know how it turns out.

Remove the agitator if you can't discipline yourself to never let it operate. But, the tub is deep, you can kneed your garment carefully in it without fear of spilling, and you can centrifuge so much soapy water out of your quilt, so your rinses will go faster and cleaner.
Just don't let the agitator operate.
