hanging with family of 4 or more ?

so kinda curious who else does it with the whole family and dogs to
dogs are in a tent in a cage at this point anyone use small built hammocks for there dogs to hang under them ?
my wife thinks I am nuts !!
we do mostly 4x4 kinda camping in remote places on BLM land

so far my kids 5 and 10 are stoked my 5 year old wants to be next to us of course 10 year old is OK with a bit of room but not much
I read up on some older threads about using spreader bar hanging from single tree on each side
can use my truck also since I have a strong bumper and roof rack the bumper hang I have done but it ends up being LOW but have hung 4 off the bumper and roof rack to a single tree

not new to camping just hammocking so the camping side we are golden


so curious to hear form other hanging families and any thing they have found works great did not work etc.. ?

I have two nephews that camp with me and when they were younger they wanted to hang close by. Now, at 12 & 14, they want to hang a whole LOT further away! For family camping used TD stands for us. I would take 2 with me and find trees for one of us then put the other two close by. When the youngest was really small 4/5 I would hang us under the same tarp..Kelty Noah 12x12.

My dog stays home. She is a good dog and is quiet but she is also a hound so will follow her nose. She is not good on a tie out so she stays at home with a dog sitter.
