What in your experiences works best with these lineloc3 tieouts?

Any 3mm---1/8th" cord will work fine. Some folks are OK with slightly smaller sizes of line but there is potential for them to slip under heavy tension/wind gusts. I personally have used out 3mm reflective line a number of times and like it as I can spot it easy at night but it does not stand out much in the day.

I'm currently using dynaglide with my tarp. No slippage, never needed to back up with any knots/hitches. I've got 10 lineloc3's coming from Dutch with lash-it I'm expecting the same.

do NOT use 1.75 Zing It. I was REALLY hoping it would hold and in my testing indoors, it seemed to. But in the field it released, I ended up having to put a half hitch to get me through.
I also tried 1.75 Lash It which seemed a little more promising but it too seems to slip under tension. It's possible the 2.2mm Zing It works, but man that Zing It stuff is slippery (which is good for other reasons). I also tried some braided mason line and it too slipped under tension. I did try the Dyna-Glide and it seems to bunch up better in the V, but haven't field tested that yet.

I'm hoping to find some "LineLoc-2" 's if they even make them.

From what I can tell, a big part of how that works is with the V slot that just isn't designed for thinner (slicker) lines (thus the 3mm rating).

    They Don't.

Correct, they are made for 3mm cord and that's what works properly and grips. The coated lines that many of us use for guylines are intended for other purposes and work in larger sizes only to a slight degree. To get them to work the way they were made and intended 3mm cord that does not have a coating is best.

I've used dynaglide and had it slip under moderate tension, so ymmv.

I switched to Lawson's glowire and it hold's perfectly.

Anyone try this yet? It's a newer twist on the Kelty Triptease line, called Kelty TripTease LightLine based on a Dyneema core.
    http://www.kelty.com/p-136-triptease...tents-shelters

It weighs only 1 ounce per 50 feet (0.567 grams per foot) and yet it is 3mm (perfect for the LineLoc-3's) and has a Dyneema core for strength

Course it seems like everyone makes
    - Sierra Designs
    - Exped Reflective Dyneema Cord 2mm
    - Nite Ize Fig9 tent line kit
    - MSR Reflective Utility Cord kit
    - Viper Equinox
    - tons of nylon based variations
    - tons of nylon core/polyester core variations
    - tons of paracord variations

I would really like to keep my lightweight LineLoc-3's, versus a prusik knot, figure 9's, MSR rings, etc. I'm also on a mission for shaving weight, so I would like to keep my guylines in the 0.5 to 0.6 grams/foot range. And I prefer one based on Dyneema where strength is high and stretch is low. Reflectivity would be an added bonus for me, not a hard requirement. Between 4 corner tie-outs, 4 side pull-outs, and 2 extra lines for front porch, I have about 100 feet of guylines. At 0.567 grams per foot, I would be at 56.7 grams for that 100' or right at 2 ounces. However most that I have seen (listed above) are spec'ed at 2 to 3 grams per foot. That would be as much as 300 grams (10.58 ounces)!

My weight requirement is why I tried using Zing-It and Lash-It first. My recommendation is to know what your requirements are, because you could come up with many solutions that would be the best solution depending on requirements.

The Kelty TripTease LightLine based on a Dyneema core came in and so far so good. Boy the lightline is a diff product from the triptease, its lighter, virtually zero stretch, and way harder to cut (dyneema core). It has much better grip than Zing-It and Lash-It and so far hasn't slipped on tests inside. The reflective material seems effective but I didn't buy this line with a requirement for that, so far me its a bonus. For others who have more priority on reflectiveness and how many "x's" of reflective line are there per inch, I have seen better.

I will feed test this weekend.
