    Thumbs up

For my first real underquilt i went with a o degree Lewis from underquilts.com.
IMO Nobody out there right now is offering more bang for your buck,, the quality of the quilts is top of the line, and the prices are very reasonable, you owe it to yourself to atleast check out the website, For me personally it was one of the best finds as far as gear goes, i now own several pieces of gear from Underquilts.com and it would be very unlikely that anyone could convince me to buy from any other quilt maker out there.
And i mean no disrespect to any other vender on this forum, i am sure that they all make very nice gear, Underquilts .com is just my personal favorite for far too many reasons to list!,, You can check out the 2 links in my sig below to see the custom made tarp that i had them make and the link to thier website as well, good luck and welcome to the world of hammock camping!

Welcome to the forum! I'm a hybrid hammocker: AHE New River (full length) and Jarbridge (3/4) synthetic 30 degree UQ, and down EE RevX 20 TQ plus a lighter down bag for warmer weather. I've been very happy with this setup throughout all of our four seasons. There's lots of options out there from our cottage venders and all of them are excellent choices.

A 20* UQ should be fine for MI temps, and you can always supplement it with a CCF pad or a bit of Reflectix, if needed.
Keeping the wind off of you will be very helpful - pitch the tarp low and close off the ends.
I've gone to find myself. If I get back before I return, make sure I stay here.

When I see lovers' names carved into a tree, I don't think it's cute. I think it's strange how so many people take knives on a date.

i would have to agree go with a UGQ down underquilt but I would get the 0 degree one with our crazy weather the difference in weight is worth the peace of mind.
