Just to make sure I'm understanding your recommendation of the 9 x 9 for a 10ft hammock. Assuming the usual ridge line length of 83% of hammock length, that gives a hammock ridge line of 8.3 ft (8ft 4 in). so that means a 9 ft tarp would overhang the ends by 4 inches each side (head/foot). Is that the coverage you are suggesting or did I make a math mistake? Not trying to be contrary; just trying to understand.

Maybe I read it wrong, but I assumed he's talking about the diagonal corner-to-corner length (the hypotenuse, if you will), which would be a tad over 12' and would give you an extra foot of tarp coverage over each end of a 10' hammock.

I said if the ogee was still available when I got home from work I would take it. So....I'll take it - Tarp #2 "ogee tarp". Maybe we can just meet up and exchange.

Ah, I see - the ridge line is corner to corner so it is a symmetrical diamond shape - like a Noah tarp - in that configuration.

But moot point as it looks like it has already been sold. Thank you for the explanation to the geometrically challenged.

    well...
No, its a minimalist tarp with 4 inches on the ends. But it can be set up diagonally.
