    WBBB XLC first trip out

Just an over nighter to Desolation lake up Big Cottonwood Utah. Low was @18*, setup in some quakies a few hundred feet from the lake (local watershed so rules apply to camping), but I must say, I REALLY like how the hammock gear incubator wraps just perfect around this hammock, my prior hammock was a Hennessy with a 2QZQ mod 4. I always had to pull the quilt up near the head and feet. Not so with the cut of the BB. Great job Warbonnet guy.

Looks like you had a great time. I really like that hammock and UQ set-up.

Thanks guys, Im a bit of a multicam snob, Do not own the multicam superfly since it weighs 2.5 times as much as the digicamo superfly which I got instead from warbonnet. I think 95% of my outdoor gear is multicam or coyote or olive/ mil shade of green, I just like to blend in and be subdued.

Everything is standard order from warbonnet (hammock- XLC DL) or hammock gear (quilts- 0 degree, long/ standard) The multicam epsilon material weighs almost 3x as much (1.51 vs 0.62 oz/ yard) as the argon material, so only the underquilt got the epsilon and its the only part seen, so I save weight with the brown top quilt while still blending.

Here is my supertarp from Warbonnet guy on the hunt this year. My XLC showed up not an hour after I left!

And reflective exped cordage works great for seeing it in the dark if needed, I use @4ft of shock cord for the doors on cord locks for adjustment and flexibility.

Thanks for the trip report. Desolation lake was my favorite hike when I lived in SLC as a teen. I will get back there someday and will make that trip with my family like my dad did with us. Been a while since I saw that lake, thank you for a trip down memory lane to my favorite place in the us. Your gear is nice BTW, and I am getting an xlc at the end of the month. I only hope Brandon runs a sale on them for black friday to save a couple bucks.

More pictures of big cottonwood please.

Nice setup. Have a link for the cord?
It is a very alert, active sheep, with a stylish, lively carriage.

I use a Juki & Pfaffs w/ assorted attachments, and have serviced lots of vintage machines. Any questions?

Amazon had a lightning deal on it not long ago, bought the one on sale then another. Looks like they are out and only have it thru the market place, may want to check a local outdoor shop but here is the link.

Nice setup. I'm waiting for my UGQ Flight Jacket 20* and will be ordering the Zeppelin in a week or so. I like how the Incubator fits so I may have to rethink my choice for UQ. The pictures are great to show the setup and area you camped in. Well done!
