Made 3 pillows for Christmas and 3 more are on order. Made the pattern a little smaller to fit the hammock for the wife and daughter. They just loved the pillows.

Thanks again for the simplicity and the "bowtie" design you shared with us.

Hmmm, strange that when I clicked on this thread, there was pop up asking me to forfeit my man card before opening the thread!

that done, this looks like a good first sewing project for my 14yr old son.

I like the triangle and cord idea, might make one with down and try to incorporate a stuff sack into the triangle part

I can get your man card back for you for a small fee.

I don't know how down proof the fleece bit will be if you're filling with down. The fleece side might also need a nylon backing to keep from getting poked with the feathers??

I had a MyPillow travel size pillow that I was using in the hammock, but it was bit too thick. Every time I would sleep in the hammock with it, the next morning my neck would be stiff and I would have a headache that lasted until after noon. I tried no pillow at all, but didn't like that either.

Yesterday I made one of these using a T-shirt for the pillow fabric. I cut the pattern out of card stock, so I can use it over and over. I weighed exactly 3 oz. of fiber fill pillow stuffing and stuffed it. I used my DIY envelope style pillowcase on it and slept in the hammocks outside last night. IT WAS AWESOME!!! My wife tried it this morning, and now she wants one, too.

Just the right amount of support to fill in the curve under my neck, yet not so much as to push my head forward. I laid on my back, and side. When I was on my side, the wider part of the pillow was perfect, too. The pillow is just wide enough to keep the side of my hammock and bug net off my head.

Just an outstanding design!!! Thank you so much for this!

Awesome man, glad to here it was a success for you. T-shirt material is a good idea too.
