Has anyone tried using both zipper and omni velcro on a strip to attach their bug netting to allow complete removal via the velcro while still allowing easy entry/exit via the zipper? Ill try to add some ascii art to show what I am talking about:
Bug Net (sewn to 2" strip of ripstop)
__________________________________________________ ______
|%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%<=| Zipper
(strip of 2" ripstop)
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX Omni
__________________________________________________ _______
Hammock Body (attached to strip via omni)
Omni would go 100% around the hammock. It sucks getting long distances of velcro to line up, so would only have to do it once per year.
Zipper would go along 1 side of the hammock only in the center 50%, allowing you to enter/exit easily.
Any cons you can think of using this method?
Or am I overthinking it and should just make a 2nd hammock for non-buggy times of year?
