Hey guys.

Hopefully everyone's clear with the permits. Send Iguana and/or Jayson your details and they'll advise the rangers that you'll be joining them on their permit the next morning. They've never given us much of a problem when we've done that before. But as Old Boot said, the more details you can provide them up front (name, address, license plate, canoe and tarp colour) the better.

If anyone has any concerns, send me a note.

I called Algonquin Outffitters and was told I don't need to reserve a canoe they have plenty just show up after 9am. I am doubtful to make 10am at rock lake so you can leave without me and Hottwo.

I am guessing cell phones will not be working after around 9am or shortly thereafter? Will they work at the west gate? If anyone can text that would be good know when you are around west gate. If not, I am sure I can find you on Pen.

I will bring an extra kelty 12 tarp. I have line I can bring but not cut for that tarp.

Already sent Iguana my deets.

The entire Highway 60 corridor has cellular coverage extending a kilometer or so into the backcountry depending on the terrain. I don't know about Rock Lake.

Otherwise, Bass are still open.

Sounds like Jiblets will be joining me, tandem in his canoe so he'll have to be added to a permit.

I'll be bringing a pretty complete first aid kit. After my axe-ident in the park a couple weeks ago, I know how to use it and the way to the Barry's Bay hospital.

I'm picking up the bread for Saturday's Goulash tomorrow on my way in to the park. If it's stale beyond repair on Saturday morning, I might have to text you to bring some.

Send Jayson your details and then tell the ranger that you're joining him on Pen. On the remote chance you have any major problems you can always get an individual permit.
