Hangnout: Sorry about the $$$ but, I bet 2sticks really likes her ride better!

No worries. I am only a mile from the bridge and easy to meet up. Let me know if you need/want company.

Do you guys have a Recreation and Fishing Guide Map of Lake Barkley and KY Lake? It has geographic coordinates, and mile markers, depths etc. Local Wally World has them for $7 or $8. I can show you guys on that Saturday and, if need be, pick up a couple and cache or mail them for you.

Turtle2 what would be BEST is if you dust off your kayak and hang with us a couple of days....you can share stories of completing the AT with us.

LBL Map with Closures & Camps

The red lines are the boundaries for the closures.

The green path is the paddle path. 48.6 miles long not counting side trips into coves. It is marked in half mile increments with a labeled way-points at every mile marker.

The little green tent symbols are campgrounds in back country areas.

The little RV symbols are developed campgrounds (but not necessarily RV parks, it was the closest symbol to mark the difference).

I can also email anyone a gdb file for Garmin GPS so PM me if you'd like it.

Anyone not having Garmin software but wanting to load/use the Garmin map, can download Garmin BaseCamp for free at:

    http://www8.garmin.com/support/download_details.jsp?id=4435

Or (in case of bad link) go to www.Garmin.com and search for BaseCamp.

So tenish mile up the lake the next day to where ever that would be hanging tree wise and road for water....sweet.
It looks closer to 8.5 miles from this map for the first night to Taylors Bay. And 9mi. to Cravens Bay on the second day unless we want to travel further.

Just send smoke signals from the campsites (i.e. have a fire up and roaring) and I'll home in on that and not mess with garmin
p.s. a lot of good work on that map Cakes.
I still say there will be no bouys delineating the 'off boundaries' and no ranger in a speed boat checkin our every inch of ingress.
So I'll head out and around but seriously don't feel pressed to comply to the millimeter.

    So tempting, but

I will be in eastern PA for the holiday.

But if anyone wishes to do a spring trip when the leaves are popping and flowers blooming please post!

OK, If you'd rather use Google Earth I can send a GPX file. I can also send files of a large map in JPG or TIF that you can send directly to Copy Max and have them print out a 24X36 map as an attachment in your email. Just say the word.
