Thanks TallPaul. Picking music that feels right is the hardest part of making videos.

I remember the portage at the falls. About half way across we got off the trail to let a half dozen or so sweet young things double teaming Grummans trot past. That is also part of the 90 mile race from Old Forge to Lake Placid.
Thank you. We went in at the public boat launch on Long Lake and out at the boat launch on Tupper. Definitely a good trip to introduce folks to paddling the Adirondacks. If I lived up that way, the race would definitely be something I'd have to do....one time!

We were there in August also. Scout troop put in same day as us and stayed just ahead of us. What a great trip for those kids to go on.

Thanks so much Bruciehi5. You'll have to come to the States for a paddling adventure some time.

Yeah, we like to be flexible, if we feel like paddling we paddle, if we feel like staying put we stay put... It's good to be on vacation.

Looks like a heck of a nice trip. Really nicely presented pictures and video. Loved the style and narration!

Thanks a bunch Hawk-eye. Narration is remarkably difficult, for me at least. I had a many as 10 -15 takes for some of those. I guess I should write a script rather than shoot from the hip every time.

Nice job on the narration Red.
I like the 'yak with wheels. Makes sense.
Nice camera work. The fish-eye lens bends the trees..and at first I'm thinking all the trees were bent.

Great video, Red. My sons and I camped right by those Racquette River falls last year. In fact, come to think of it, I spent my first night in a hammock three years ago on the Racquette River. It rained five inches overnight, but I was high and dry in my Hennessy. An unforgettable first night in the hammock. It looks like the same campsite you had.

Each year for the last three years I take my canoe to Lake Lila and meet a couple of friends from Massachusetts. It's such a beautiful area. My sons have come the last two years and they really look forward to the trip - it's a family tradition. They're already looking forward to this year's trip.
