Using Velcro to hold pad in place

I am using a heat reflective pad from a car windshield it seems to work well and very lightweight. I was thinking about adding a sleeve to hold it in place but I think it'd be too bulky for a UL setup.

Anyone tried adding a couple Velcro strips to hold the pad in place?

The Knotty Mod does a very good job of holding in a pad. Easy to retrofit onto your hammock. All you need are 2 strips of grosgrain about 18" long each, some shock cord and a pair of cord locks. It's even possible to hand sew it on.

My pad doesn't move around side to side as much as it slips down towards the middle. I used some contact cement and glue a loop on the end of my pad. From this loop I tied a string to the end of the hammock. This keeps my pad in place pretty well.
