That is really rotten. I have always worried about leaving gear behind. Stealth camping sounds better to me then ever. Good luck on getting everything back. Thanks for the reminder that not everyone in the woods are decent people.

If nothing else its been a hassle. On the bright side, I finally got off my wallet and ordered an underquilt last night from Underground Quilts. So I won't just be replacing my gear, I'll be upgrading to boot!
I think the further you get from the trailhead the more honest people are.

Glad there is a good side to this.. If I ever get stuck having to leave my setup, think I will leave it in tent mode.. Hopefully hide some of the cool factor..

Geez Red, that is really bad news. I just can't imagine stealing somebody's stuff. I had my house and pole barn robbed this year. The feeling is awful.

In hindsight I should have battened down the hatches a bit before leaving.. next time I guess.
