I may have to join you guys! I have some vacation scheduled to hit Nordhouse Dunes beginning May 10, so it just depends on how much gas I want to burn through in one month...the Jeep's struggling to hit 19mpg on the highway

So looks like Memorial Day weekend, we'd have several options depending on what everyone would like to do as well as if peeps needed to arrive or leave early.
Friday Night Seaton Creek USFS CG.... Lots of trees and low usage, should be safe starting here even Memorial Weekend
Sat Night Hike down to Slage Creek Area and off trail camp near Manistee River, plenty of trees for the choosing. Peeps arriving Sat could park at Slage Creek TH if needed and join us at the hang site. I'll have GPS coodinates avail...

I've done to MRT/NCT several times, this would be a nice easy pace over three days, really nice trail and lots of options for off trail camps. Sat night is a nice spot about 1/2 mile or so off trail, Sun might need moving depending on amount of backpackers on trail but there are other options in the area...
After not making the Hoosier Hang I'm looking forward ot getting so trail under the boots...
