Right good job on all that there gear Red. I had tried a stick at the top og mine but it just got in my way when I has on a trip and zipping and tucking and all that. Find it catches frost pretty well just hanging. They do keep a lot of frost off of the top of the TQ.

Really great video Red! Looking to put a sock together for myself. I'm torn between this design and the SEEP version design. Ha - chances are it will be whatever template I come across first!

Thank TZ, it was a little quirky at first, but now that I have it figured out it works good.

Awesome job on the sock too. I love the one I made and hopefully you get a blast of cold weather before winter is up so you can test it out.

Thanks Fronkey, it was like 50°F here yesterday, crazy for January. I put the stick mod on the bib last year and it worked nicely.

Carrying forth sir! Thanks. I've never tried it without the stick, and inside the sock it touches the sides of the sock and stays put quite nicely. But I still haven't spent the night in it so we'll have to see how that goes.

Thank you dragon. If I were to do it again I think the top flap would be a little longer and maybe more SEEP shaped, sort of an inverted bell curve, but keep the bungee door.
    Good luck,

Nice sock design. I've got fair bit of canvas that I may be able to make into a couple of socks. I think I may even be able to modify your design so that I can keep the two pieces I have in mind for the project. As they are gear used in my other hobby (fur trade reenacting) I would like to be able to utilize them without cutting on them. I think with a few clothes pins and a ridgeline I could play with it enough until I came upon a final way to use how I would like to.

Thanks Sunny. I'm sure if weight and bulk are not an issue you could just fold and pin and tuck, etc. until it did what you wanted, then undo it and use it for the other purpose.
    Good luck,
