VIDEO: Canvas Hammock Sock and my Breath Bib

Just a short tour of my hammock sock and my breath bib/frost bib. It actually hasn't been cold enough to use the hammock sock yet. But I'll use it at the forthcoming Michigan Hang whether I need it or not.
Thank you to all those who openly share their designs and ideas, that allow people like me to benefit from their hard work.

    Good luck,

Thank you gmcttr,I plan to make a bug net version and it may end up a little different on the ends, but will likely be nearly the same but have some velcro to close it up a little better.

Great job, Red on both the sock and the video!
I recently made a TED bugnet, also based on Hangnout & Pip's designs, with entry from both sides. I think I like the one sided entry better because I'm still not happy with the way I made the cap piece for it.

Thanks for showing such detail in the way you suspend and attach everything.
Where did you find the 7 oz canvas?

Thanks Mike. I got the fabric at a local store called Field Fabrics. I did a hot wash and dry with it to shrink it up, but it had a nice tight weave to begin with.
It was quite windy while making that video and nothing was getting thru the sock, so that was good news.
    Good luck,

    Very nice work Red

It should work great. I like the stretch cord system holding it up and allowing easy entry

I really like the idea you had with your frost bib of putting a stick behind it to spread it out. I may steal that idea and add those little pockets.

Awesome job on the sock too. I love the one I made and hopefully you get a blast of cold weather before winter is up so you can test it out.
