Indeed, that is one fine set-up. Lots of versatility. Paul does great work.

    The Hard Rock Winter Tarp

I just got the last few details added for the Hard Rock Winter Tarp on the Site.

As Muse posted here yesterday we have been working on the details for the Winter tarp by AHE recently and I think we put together something unique enough to co ahead and offer it in our line up.

I am having Muse double check my finished weights so we will update them once he has a chance to do that. The poles have also been listed on the site as an replacement part for the tarps for those of you that are looking to mod tarps. They are a very light carbon fiber that we are having custom cut for us special for the Hard Rock. I'm uploading some pictures and weights for the poles still so bear with me as we get all the details on the site.

    Great looking tarp

Paul, will you be able to order the tarp with out the poles? (source them locally). If so what would that price be? Also what are the dimensions on this tarp?

    Cheers

Nice you two! How long will the poles be when stored for travel?

Initially I am not planning to offer the tarp without the poles, we have done a lot of work to put the poles together at just the right length for our design and source the best material/pole for the job. I would hate for someone to need to go to all the same work just to end up with the same result at a higher cost. Measurement wise we start off with a 11 foot ridgeline, 13 1/2 foot long edges and 10 foot wide at the widest. Throw in some cat cuts, panel pulls, and some other mods and you have a Hard Rock.

I'm definitely modding my tarp asap. This will also help with the sag you sometimes get int he pullouts from pulling them both in the same general direction (to your trekking pole) I bet this thing stays really taught AND I could use those two poles as stays in my GoLite for some extra support! Love it

Very nice tarp design. It really stands out from the rest of the winter tarps. I think this is going to be big......
