All the ankle-biters were enjoying themselves. Nice to see so many kids having fun at a gathering like this. I enjoyed meeting so many of you for the first time.

i had a superior time Mac, Smiling Face, Iron K and Thing1. you have a beautiful abode in a perfect location.

it was really cool talking with everyone about "all things hammock", among other things.

we had lots of great food to eat, a veritable smorgasbord of munchies. and for breakfast we "gorged" ourselves on eggs, biscuits, fruit and Hunter's (thanks to the Muttly clan).

the weather was perfect and made burning stuff most enjoyable. a traditional fire, expertly minded by Thing 1 and a Swedish candle (really nifty) where the "full sized" sources of heat and light. and we burned several wood stoves, 4Dogs BKll and BKlll, BushBuddy, EmberLit UL and some DIY gasifiers. a pyro party for sure.

several of us hung down by the lake, where the ducks, owls, beavers and geese enjoyed our intrusion. i slept very well and later than usual.

to top it all off i stole Mac's Very Cool 5-in-1 Jerry Chair. please! don't tell.

thank you Smiling Face for allowing a bunch of hammock nut to invade your wonderful home. your "over the top" hospitality is greatly appreciated.

Can't say enough thanks to Mac and his most gracious and incredible family. The weather was on the money and even the moon was right on time. Great to meet old friends for the first time! My girls will never be the same.

I'll have to take a look at the pictures Amelia took. Might be a bit frightening.

Another fine time! Perfect weather & good company.
I had thought about staying the night since some others were, but I was so busy on Sat that I didn't have time to get my hammock stuff together. But guess what? MacEntyre had an extra setup so I was able to stay over & enjoy the company. Not to mention the fine breakfast!
Big thanks to the MacEntyre crew!
I too will something make and joy in it's making

    good times but regrets

I wish I had taken my daughter home and came back to spend the night outside. I really enjoyed the fire/ swedish log. I am regretting not coming back and spending the night. It seems like it was beautiful weather for an initial hang.

I had a wonderful time last night meeting new faces and seeing familiar ones. Sitting by the fire sharing stories and playing with stoves and such. I slept well by the lake in spite of upsetting the beavers!

The breakfast this morning was awesome with livermush & eggs and some wonderful cheese biscuits (who made those, I want the recipe?)!

A special "Thank You" to Mac and his family for being such wonderful hosts' & hostess'!

I took the scenic rout home through Boone & Valley Cruises on 421 to 321. I had rain from Boone on, but the fog settling into the valleys gave me beautiful views. Got home about 4:00 and I'm repacking for Florida.

Hope to see all of you again at another hang real soon,

Had a great time! Met new faces and saw familiar ones. Lot's of great hammock talk. Wonderful fire and Swedish Candle. Thanks to Thing1 for all her work, especially tending the fire. Slept well, cool having beaver by the lake!

Tasted Livermush (enough said). Enjoyed baking biscuits and scarmbling eggs helping Smiling Face out.

"Thank You" to Mac and family! Anxiously awaiting another hang!

And those biscuits, Cheese and Garlic, come from a secret family recipe (the Bisquick family!). Comes in a packet, add water, stir, bake. The Butter, Honey biscuits are even better. And all the mixes work well on the trail with steam baking.
