So, in your opinion how do the two compare?

Jacks R' Better sells them for $1.75 and at 0.6 oz 1/4 the weight. A quick Google search leads to FlexAir pillows for $0.68 each on Amazon and a case of 50 FlexAir pillows is either $24.95 or $29.95 depending on the size desired which comes to $0.50 each or $0.60 each.

The Mont-bell is probably a lot more durable, but at 1/4 the weight I could carry 4 of the FlexAir to remedy that and for the same price as the Mont-bell I can get a case of 50 FlexAir. So durability doesn't seem to be much of a problem.

As for packing size, in my experience, the FlexAir deflates and folds down to a lot smaller than a pack of cards.

I'm guessing that you have tried the FlexAir and like the method of inflating/deflating the pillows better.
Do have some Graham FlexAir pillows. Sure I could combine a couple/few inside a stuff sack of the right size and get a workable solution but I doubt it would be as comfortable and definitely more hassle. With all the money I've spent on outdoor gear, $20 for a good pillow that helps me get a good nights sleep isn't something I'm going to sweat.

Pretty sure he means under the knees when he is on his back.
    It's an old hammock trick.

It's not that many hangers that are comfortable on the side in a hammock,
if it's not a bridge thingy.

I LOVE side sleeping in a hammock and have never spent a single night in a bridge. After you learn to adjust you're thinking, it's much more comfortable than side sleeping in a bed.

i've always side slept in a hammock, i've never tried the pillow between the knees but i'm curious to see what the improvement would be.

I sleep a lot on my side. The "pillow between the knees" thing keeps the knees slightly separated & is a little easier on the spine, allowing it to stay straighter if I remember right.
It really does feel like a more natural position for my back.

I don't always use a pillow btw the knees when on my side but it does help with my hips, which can hurt sometimes. In general I have to avoid doing things like sitting cross legged because with time any twisting will start to make my hips hurt.

Come to think of it Knotty, maybe it is the hips that it keeps in a more relaxed position. Oh well, they are connected... hips & spine... & it does feel better
