Welcome from Preston County!
Lots of WV hangers here. Definitely watch Shugs videos, you will laugh until you pee yourself and you will learn a bunch about hammock hanging.

Another West Virginian here, don't be shy. These the folks on this forum are extremely supportive. I'm just getting started myself. You've come to the right place. See ya in the hills and hollows (er.. hollers).

Welcome from the UK this truely is a great place
Welcome to the forums! WV native here! I grew up in Fairmont. The Noseeum hammock bliss is the one I started out with. We now have seven hammocks. I like the bliss becuase you can flip it over and use it without the net. It's kinda bulky for backpacking IMO but still a great one for car camping and backyard use.

Welcome from SC
I've been out twice so far with mine. When you shed the ropes it will be 3 ounces lighter and less bulky. I did add a structural ridge line to mine and changed out the suspension. use the little net tieouts to connect to your tarp ridge line or tarp suspension line to keep the netting out of your face or, like I do.hold it up out of the way with a mitten clip. Very comfortable hammock with lots of room.
A Whooooo Buddy to ya'!
