Tarp line pockets?? What say you?

This was just hastily thrown together on my little practice piece of prototype tarp and I'm thinking of adding these little pockets to my new tarp. They're easy enough to build, but a little time consuming and weigh a little bit of nothing. Held shut with some omni tape here, but reg. velcro would work fine too. Thats a 10' line stuffed in the pocket, plenty of room for more. I'm always too lazy to wrap up my lines when I pack up, then they turn into a giant bird nest. I wonder if I'd be too lazy to put them in the pockets too??

    Good luck,

thats pretty cool. I know the hennessy monsoon rainflys have pockets for the guylines. Im very interested in putting things on the inside of tarps like loops for a small clothes line or to hang something from inside the tarp. but ive never seen them before.

I've seen tarps with pockets before, but I didn't know any were still in production. I wonder if in the real world they're as useful as they first appear? I might be better off with some snake skins?
I just don't know what to doooo??

I like those a lot, Red. Dunno why they're not on every tarp...seems like a no-brainer.

Me likee, adding to the to-do list. I may not even use velcro, leave pocket open.

    Another nice detail by Red.

I've got pockets and love 'em.

I don't always use them when I roll the tarp to slip on the snake skins, but...I use prusik's to attach and adjust the guy lines so any excess line gets stored away in the pockets and stays nice and neat.

My Hennessey HexFly 70D tarp has them, and they are handy.
When I finish with my mods to the guide gear 12 X 12 it will have them as well.
