When life gives you lemons, keep them, because hey, free lemons!
Thats a good tarp......I keep mine in a set of snake skins and had sewn some webbing over those center ridge grommets

Where can you order these?
niiiice... think I'm going to go cheap and go with this as my pack's already light enough to not kill my back anymore and this'll still take over a lb off of my current tarp situation. Thanks for the pics, looks great, love the dimensions.. Can you make the corners into doors?
I got my tarp from Price Insanity. I was looking around on a whim because they had been sold out for some time. Looks like alot of places are getting them in now. I really need to sew on some straps to the ridgeline. I just don't trust the grommets!

thanks there buddy! That's a clean looking tarp.. great pitch.
Rather than sew on webbing (I am thread injector challenged), I use a continuous ridgeline, and adjust the tension on the tarp with a prusik at either end of the tarp. You don't have to pull the tarp tight at all, if the ridgeline is tight. There is very little tension on the grommet doing it this way. An added bonus of this method is that it's very easy to adjust the position of the tarp along the ridgeline. The Chinook is a great tarp for the money.
" I have not yet begun to procrastinate!"
I have a few chinook tarps, theyu are cheap and sturdy. I also go with the ridgeline and pursic knots to suppport the tarp.
