I have 2x 15 ft webbing from strap works that has loops sewn on each end.
25 ft of armsteel rope.
2x lightweight climbing spec carabiner.
1 grand trunk parachute hammock
I was thinking of stringing the armsteel rope through the channels on my hammock, then tie the two ends of the rope to my carabiner.
The carabiner will clip on top both of the loops on the webbing after I wrap it around the tree a couple times.
Questions.
1) What's the easiest/strongest knot for tying the rope to the carabiner after it's been looped through the channels of the hammock?
a. Is there a strong loop that I could just tie the rope (would the double fishermen's knot work using a single rope?), this way I don't have to tie any knots every time I want to setup my hammock. I can just clip the carabiner to the loop.
2) Is there a special way that I should wrap the webbing around the tree?
Thanks!
