Absolutely fabulous design!!!!!! I can see that I am going to have to get those sewing lessons from my aunt, she is a seamstress. Now, does anyone know if a spin ul material would handle the stress of all these pitches that this tarp can do?????

That's really cool. And bonus - no one else in town has one! Bring that to the next group hang you get to, you'll give some folks something to talk about for sure. Great work Gargoyle.

Nice.
Reminds me of a starfish.
Not all who wander are lost.
Smoke, It certainly reminds me of the "honeymoon suite." Soon as I find some time I'll try two hammocks under it.
Thanks sclittlefield, the whole point was to do something different. I think I accomplished that!
It held up fine to the hour long monsoon we had last night.
Got some sil in today too!!!!!! I'll send out some pics here soon.
Ambulo tua ambulo.

Standard diamond set up, only two tent stakes, doors tied back over the top.

A view down the inside of the diamond. Nice and roomy and open.

Tied out on six stakes. Wow, thats alot of coverage.

I propped up one side with "hiking poles", and pulled down the corners. 8 stakes required. You can eliminate some stakes on the left side and just tie the doors back.

A view of the inside with the corners and diamond point pulled down.

Pulled the corners down some more and across, almost shuts the end, yet still able to enter and exit the tarp easily, and room for thehmmock suspension. The opposite right hand corner overhangs the entry, creating a vestibule. I see this really sheltering you from the rain, with good ventilation.

A view from the outside, with corner pulled across.
The possible options of set up are unbelievable. I'll do some more if you all are interested. Packed down the tarp is smaller than a standard nalgene bottle, and again 15 oz. on my scale.
Ambulo tua ambulo.
