Hammock is stuffed into a large trash compactor bag along with my quilts and clothing. That seems to takes less overall space than putting each in their own stuff sack.

Tarp goes into a snakeskin and is then stored in an outer pocket of my pack.

Just started using SS on my BB and really like the convenience of putting it away, but I have not packed with this set up yet. Need to see how it goes in the backpack. It may take up a little more room. As for the tarp I use a sack, but I got to say I like Opie's way with little tie-offs. Another good idea from Opie. Maybe you could post pictures of this Opie. Storing the tarp on the outside pocket of my ULA pack there is no need for a stuff sack. May even let it dry out better if I have a quick start in the morning.

I roll and fold, I roll my hammock and place it in pack. Suspension lines are coiled and placed in side pocket. Tarp is folded and stored on outside of pack for quick set up and folded loosely if damp. Tryed snake skins, thought I would like them but found them extra kit that worked for only one purpose and didn't allow for as good a packing.

Well hard to vote on this one ... I went SS. I use mesh DIY snakeskins on my tarp and use a double end DIY stuff sack on my hammock. Both are loose enough to compress easily and just tight enough to give form.

Snakeskins, folded/rolled, and then put into a stuff sack. It plays nice with the other stuff in my pack this way.

I stuff my hammock in its sack. My trap is furled and secured with small home made bungees and stuffed it its sack.

Hammock is skins, then put into own stuff sack. Tarp stuffed in it's own stuff sack. currently.

Once I get the time I will make skins for the tarp. Probably noseeum style.
