Gossamer Gear shop not taking orders

While doing some research I went to GG's website and it just says "We're PVTing We're not currently accepting orders on gossamergear.com". I cannot figure out what PVT might mean, any ideas? Not a big deal but it's driving me nuts that I can't figure it out lol

That's gotta be it, how did I not think of that? At first I thought it was the name of a trail or something but what you said makes perfect sense. Must be a very small cottage company I'd assume then

I must've got my order in just before they closed up - that would explain the very short time between "order received" and "order shipped" emails.

You'll be happy with GG products when they return.

PVT is their new pivot frame system for backpacks. It purportedly allows the help belt to flex separate from the frame to allow for more natural articulation while hiking. Sounds like they’re out on the trail testing the new packs.

Looks like a pretty cool innovation; you have to wonder how impactful it is to the backpacking experience. I still don't understand why they went with Robic fabric and not Ultra but I'm sure there is a good reason.

That could certainly be the case. I clicked around on the Challenge Sailcloth website and at least as far as the Ultraweave line is concerned, it's not a recycled material. UltraWeave Collection — Challenge Outdoor (challenge-outdoor.com)
