Well folks I have some news to report...some bad, some inconvenient.
First off what I will call the bad news. Chuckwagon Pizza is closed for the season....

So, Friday night diner will switch to a BYO.
Here is the possible inconvenient news. The East loop in closed for construction this winter, however the West loop is still open. I'm heading out today to check on the trees in the West Loop and will report back a little later. The State Park still knows we are coming, and we will still have access to the cabin (not sure how that works but whatever).
Snow report- NOTHING!We had a slight dusting this morning. Temps hover right around freezing all day. So, everyone start doing their snow dances and lets hope for some winter weather.

I checked out the west loop the other day, we should be all set to camp along the right side of that loop and around into the end. We will do basically what we always do and spread out into the woods a bit. I will be contacting the State Park just to let them know. We will keep the cabin rented as it is just over the hill from these campsites. The walk to the outhouse is a little farther (same as we always use) and through the woods a little bit. Same situation for water.

Is anyone planning on getting there Thursday? I’m working on a job in manistee and am thinking of just heading to the park after work Thursday night.
