Just a Reminder....REMEMBER TO BRING...TOP 10 MUST HAVES…
1. Hammock: well duh! Also, make sure that suspension is there too…just saying…
2. Tarp: there is a good chance it will rain at some point in some fashion, it’s Florida
3. Quilts (topquilt and underquilt): as a general rule I suggest a 20 degree set. A 40 degree set may work, but there is always usually one night where it might get 30s-20s cold..HYOH.
4. Towel...we have showers, but it's hard to dry off using a hand air dryer.
5. Something to drink: while we do provide food and occasional coffee and hot water, drinks are on you. Bring your own beverage to enjoy with meals etc.
6. Mess Kit: We tried this the last few years and got a positive response. You will need your own dishes/utensils for meals that you can wash afterwards. We want to limit trash.
7. Chair: seating can be limited at times (especially the raffle and campfire) you will want something where you can rest your bum.
8.. Stand: As this event grows prime hang spaces get harder and harder to come by. If you want the best possible place near the action, bring a stand if ya got one. You will thank me later.
9. Cash: I am certain you will want to buy more raffle tickets once you see the raffle magnitude, you will want to buy something from one of our many onsite vendors, we also will be selling lunch each day, and sometimes your cell signal may be crappy and Venmo/PayPal won’t work.
10. A Super Positive Attitude: No one gets paid to do this. It is all run by volunteers. The cost of the event (10k+) sits on Phoenix’s credit card until the end of the event (and we pray that donations and raffle tickets pay it off). Be thankful, be flexible, be friendly, and be helpful. Everything never runs smoothly and there WILL BE HICKUPS (mud trap parking lot, dinner delays, wait times, a hang spot farther from things than you wanted…etc). But our community is great and we want to continue to make this event wonderful for all.
