Tamales! Now I really have to put effort into coming. As long as the grandson doesn’t try to hatch early and I don’t experience an overwhelming sense of guilt, I currently have it penciled in for a Friday morning arrival... or maybe I’ll pack early and have my gear in the truck waiting for me when I come off the road Thursday afternoon. Down compressed for 3 weeks?

Or, you could drop off stuff ahead of time with someone closer who might pack the "down" before they load the car up and arrive?

We are one month away from the Gluttonous happenings at our 6th annual hang! Looking forward to the Dirks awesome tamales and Gregori's variety of bacon treats. Opened the freezer this morning and my 4 pounds of bacon sausage is ready and willing to be sacrificed in Ed's vintage monster sized cast iron frying pan.

Been trying to diet and lose some weight last couple months. This thread is NOT HELPING!!

Wife and I been trying some new recipes, STILL NOT HELPING the diet either....

Gear is prepped and ready, just making final food decisions, need to surprise all the "Gluttons" with something special.

Oh well, at least bacon season starts soon!!

Yep, seems like Fall is the official kick off of bacon season. We are a couple weeks away and Fall is in the air!

If anyone has any extra gear that is looking for a new home, bring it along. I've already pulled a few things together to make some room in the gear closet.

I will get out there next week to cut the grass for the parking lot and base camp. If anyone is bringing a tent and would like a few spots cut in the field please let me know.

The wife and kid say they want to come along if there is room for my little camper. We just got back from a long weekend in the Lake Superior Provincial Park. The hiking was beautiful. Should have seen the one year old climbing up some pretty rocky trails. I think he might be part mountain goat.
