After hanging at canoebies, I looked at his uq and figured I could do the same. Took some fabric, hemmed in some channels for the suspension, and inserted an old down quilt I had. After the quilt was inside the new uq body, (it was basically a big pillowcase at this point, stitched it closed afterwards) I added a few bar tacks to hold the quilt up on the sides and ends. The rest of the old quilt just hangs inside, no quilting or baffles, since the quilt was already baffled. And this is what I came up with.

Rigged up to hammock, I need to fine tune the ends cinch cords some more, and add some cordlocks.

Laid out flat on the bed, almost two inches of loft.

Packed away in a dry bag. It will compress down more, but I didn't want to overcompress it. I think it's small enough. And it will compress inside the backpack.
I used some wally's mystery fabric in a dark tan, kinda stealthy, huh? Love the $1.00 bin!
Finished size is 50 x 60, provides plenty of coverage, not sure if it qualifies for 2/3rds uq or 3/4 length. The outside layer is a 1-1/2" bigger than the inside layer of fabric, to allow for loft and adding more insul. later, if needed.
I'll do some more feild tests at get a temp. rating on the uq. The channels allow the uq to slide head to foot. And I dont have a weight, but its lighter and smaller than anything I have for bottom insulation. Slept with it indoors last night, and was warm. We will see how the outdoors treats it tho. No idea on fill weight either. But you gotta use what you got.
I figure if in need to add more fill later, I still can. It beat cutting the whole thing open and having feathers all over. I may just add a layer of insultex or thin pad, or more down?, to boost temp. rates. We will see.
