I spoke with BeechGirl about her hosting a hang back at Peninsula SP again. She wasn't going to be able to do so and gave the blessing to head over to Newport SP. She was hoping to make it to the New Moon hang.

So, your October DaShack hang has no conflict with a Door County fall hang.

Hi, Yes to your question. I am hoping the field of soybeans has been harvested, that the field has not been tilled, and that the ground is dry enough to not dig ruts. Of course, as you know, Mother Nature does not always follow my recommendations. There are also three/four standing dead oak along the road that I want processed someday. The bark on these trees is long gone. While I feel that there enough cut split stacked wood by da shack for this year, I would like to be preparing for spring hangs before snow becomes a problem.

Sorry T, I didn’t notice that the date changed in October to the 19th. I am supposed to take someone to the porcupine mts to experience hammock camping for the first time. If he bails (very likely) I will be at your place.

-Concerning December's Hang-
Excuse me if this has been asked before and answered. Are tents welcomed? I have a non-hammock friend that would like to see how we hang in the cold. What about dogs?

Also I noticed some older post have the location of the shack and some information. I just want to verify that the seudo address (946 County Rd T, Amherst Junction, WI 54407) is still correct. Also, how far is the hike from parking to the location of the hang?
