Right around the top of the front...I open the driver and passenger side doors, pass a long wide strap through and over the top. Close the doors and then attach the main suspension to that strap.

Works great. The van must list a couple of inches under my weight thou looking at the slack in my tarp. That's with a tripled up shock cord on the ridgeline. One of my boys thought I might tip the van over.
That photo looks like it is somewhere north of Mtn Home.....am I correct?

I just could never do it, I could never hang one end of a hammock from a vehicle, climb in and goto sleep. I would have to pull the plug wires and put them in my ridge line organizer.
Where he is doing that it would be unlikely anyone would come by for a few days.....and those that would come by would not be likely to steal your vehicle.
