    Van as an anchor point

I have a Dodge Grand Caravan. Is their a safe anchor point that anyone has used? I am hanging in a bridge hammock.

Right around the top of the front...I open the driver and passenger side doors, pass a long wide strap through and over the top. Close the doors and then attach the main suspension to that strap.

    Vehicle anchor

Works great. The van must list a couple of inches under my weight thou looking at the slack in my tarp. That's with a tripled up shock cord on the ridgeline. One of my boys thought I might tip the van over.

People had a couple of suggestions on the German hammock forum: https://www.haengemattenforum.de/for...f%C3%BCrs-auto
There are plenty of pictures of the main ideas, so you don't need to understand German

I just could never do it, I could never hang one end of a hammock from a vehicle, climb in and goto sleep. I would have to pull the plug wires and put them in my ridge line organizer.

Where he is doing that it would be unlikely anyone would come by for a few days.....and those that would come by would not be likely to steal your vehicle.
