    Dutchware 11' hammock ends

Just got my dutchare 11' netless. Question is, how long should I make my end continuous loops? Would Amsteel 7/64 be the correct cordage to use for this? Thanks in advance.

    I use 8” loops and 1/8”, but that’s overkill - 7/64” will do.

+1 for 8 inch loops. Mine are 7/64 amsteel and have been in use since late 2014.
    Cheers.

what are you planning on for suspension?

if you're doing whoopies, you can also just put the locked brummel end thru the channel and forego continuous loops altogether

Continuous loop for hammock end, then carabiner to whoopie slings

What's the intended connection between the WS and the strap? (I only ask because the carabiner may be superfluous.)

Why not use a Dutch Whoopie Hook to attach the sling to the CL? Or if you don’t mind permanent slings, then just tie the sling right to the hammock.

Only issue with that is taking apart an existing WS to put the WH on(unless you're getting/making new WSs with the hook already installed. Not a big deal, but it IS intimidating to some people.

you could also larks-head the fixed loop on the WS to the continuous loop. The whoopie hooks on Dutch's WS are helpful for separating the WS from the hammock if they're wet or otherwise soiled (by sap, etc.) I know they come with his complete suspensions, but don't know if you can purchase them separately. I'd bet you can, though.

That’s true, but the OP, Kevin, implied that he is about to make a CL, so I figured he wouldn’t be so put off by the suggestion.
