    New hammock, self healing fabric

One of the rewards for this kickstarter is a hammock made from their "self healing" ripstop nylon. It is an interesting fabric with a special weave and water proof self healing silicone coating. The demos in the video are convincing for small holes in the right place. There are plenty of other things to be skeptical of about the performance but it is a great idea. I would like a Tarp made from it even more than a hammock. It shouldn't need seam sealing.

No one who knows anything about hammock camping is going to buy a hammock made from a waterproof material. Like you mentioned might be a good tarp material.

Order your waterproof hammock today and start sweating immediately! Be the first person on your block to drown in a pool of condensation!

I smell clickbait with this thread. Wonder how peeing from the hammock is impacted with a waterproof hammock?

    New hammock, self healing fabric

I saw this add pop on YouTube. it would be cool for tarps maybe. I'd be curious to know the weight of the fabric.

Sorry if it smells funny but I just thought the fabric was cool. I have read so much about rips stops, silnylon ect here and wanted to contribute that there was a new technology.

Currently they sell raincoats and want to move into tents.

They actually have that at their $150 donation level with some other stuff.

I'll bet it doesn't breathe at all though.
