    1st trip WBBB XLC

My now 16 Y.O. Son has been river/hammock camping with me for 10 years now.
We have used hennesy hammocks with good luck, but in the last 2 years he has had problems sleeping through the night (HH Explorer) . He is a side sleeper and said he cannot side sleep in his hammock (Explorer), He was snoring and hacking all night sleeping on his back, something that never happens at home.
He was threatening to go to the ground in a tent, problem is ¾ of the areas we camp on the river is large gravel/rocks. A lot of the Mountain Rivers we run the public land is sporadic, what is public- finding a decent camping site is challenging. The very few tent-able sites are typ taken,, but there are many tree laced gravel washes, these are considered part of the river and public property, but impossible to set a tent on.
So I got him a WBBB XLC for his birthday this spring.
This was our 1st trip with it, due to the spring rains and flooding.
He slept through he night without a sound, when I finally got up he was still sound asleep on his side.

Isn't it nice to find a hammock so comfortable. Same question here, which river is this and how was the depth?

South Branch in WV, it varied from 12" to 8-10 feet.
I have "developed relationships with locals for shuttles (paid), this one I drive to the fellas house where we take out at the end of the trip, he drives us in my truck about 45 minutes to where we put in, when I pull off at his place, 2-3 days later, my keys are on his porch with my truck in his driveway.
PM me with any details, not going to post my spots out in the open

Where we camped the river was well over 6' deep on the far bank.

Looks amazing. I picked up a new Blackbird XLC last month and have 6 nights in it so far. Before the hammock I had never slept more than 3 hours per night outside. Now I get 7-10 hours of solid sleep every night. Could not be happier. Glad your kid is sleeping well now.
