Other than the wind it was perfect. And to be honest I really didn’t mind the wind. It was fairly warm. The views were spectacular and loved every minute of the trip, spending time with Melanie.

Spreadsheet is up and running and accessible from the link at the bottom of Nighthauk's posts. I used the 2017 signup and added a sheet. The meals and gear pages were blank anyway so they are usable. I haven't been able to make a hang this year for a NUMBER OF REASONS, so I may have to change my winter stance. I will be keeping an eye on the weather.

So I got an email from the new owners of the Scout camp. We have the reservations for the first 4-6 of January. Price has gone up as expected. I was always getting a pretty good deal there. I am looking at $15.00 per person with firewood including. We also have the building below as safety measure for anyone cold or having the raffle out of the weather.

Thanks, Tim for all your planning. Something to look forward to after the craziness of the holidays.

So looking forward to this after my snowy cold weather "almost winter, kinda like winter backpack" with my Girl Scouts. Everyone slept in the shelter except for me and another girl who hammocked. Got to hear owls and migrating Canada geese at night. Shared the site with a couple guys from the eastern part of the state. one of whom is very interested in hammock camping so he might show up to a hang! High Praises for my Neos overboots that kept me warm and dry in the snow and were actually awesome to hike in, not heavy at all. Would not have been as happy without them. Have a great Tday everyone.

I've got a major work project that launches around this time. So, I can't commit to this one.

One month away from our annual Nor Easta’ winter hang. Winter has been here for a week or two and we still have snow in the ground. Let’s hope that it continues until then. I would like another crack at the negative 15* that happened on this weekend last year. Hoping for a repeat so that we can have a new record.
