Kayak camper usable payload vs backpacker usable payload is certainly a large difference. Backpackers pride themselves on how light they can possibly go and still have a modicum of comfort, but will never have all the luxuries of a kayak/canoe camper. So long as I have a few ounces of high proof liquid reward I am good. I like to travel light as it hones my fitness and survivalist skills.
It's hard to imagine a thread with hammock in the title that has less to do with hammocks. Well done. I think.

I haven't tried it in a hammock yet, but I like 21st Amendment's Down To Earth IPA. If nothing else, just for the packaging!
Usually Woodford's bourbon for me. However, starting to like sipping some of the better tequilas lately. Current fav is Casamigos.

If it's cold out, a nice peaty scotch. If it's warm, a nice ice cold beer.
For me, a Voodoo Ranger Imperial IPA hits the spot every time, or their seasonal Atomic Pumpkin is awesome in the late summer / early fall. Another honorable mention (and camping essential for my friends and I) is the Mississippi Mud Black & Tan.

Hahaha, you know, I was going to say that I rarely go without a local brew - my favorite here is Uinta Brewery, particularly their Simicone & Cutthroat. Really hard to beat one of those coming out of a cooler on a hot day in the Uintas...What? No Epic IPA?

By all means, let's argue about whether or not a hammock will hurt a tree. All the while ignoring the fact that there is an island of garbage the size of Texas floating in the Pacific ocean. Or how about the fact that over 75% of the world's nuclear reactors are leaking...
