Just to add to the Micro Cord (Atwood, 1.18mm, nylon/polyester) data set, after thinking about its texture I wondered if perhaps a tautline hitch would hold well. It does, so I removed the mini linelocs and will use this in the future.

The tautline hitch does not hold when using Zing-it.

So now the 11ft Hex weighs 7.19 oz (203.7g) with ridge line, guy lines and stuff sack.

To this, I will add that the 1.2mm Atwood reflective micro cord works extremely well with a mini-ucr. I have mini ucrs all over my gear and use the micro cord with a zingit mini ucr for the doors on my Superfly.

I have reflect-it on my new tarp. Also I opted for silk worms since I've been wanting to try them out. I found that used in the conventional way they are a pain to adjust and get the right tension on the guylines. I started wrapping the tag end around the worm two or three and pulling it between the worm and the line. This way is faster and easier for me. Plus it hasn't slipped yet. Had it up during a two day long thunderstorm a few weeks ago and everything stayed tight the whole time. My other tarp I equipped with mini-ucr's and like them as well. Both ways are nice but i prefer the silk worms after using them.

Are you referring to Tarp Worms?

They have to be one of the easiest pieces of hardware to adjust. My only issue is when my hands are really cold.

Of course... that was a duh moment.

I have tarp worms and hook worms.. I swap between these and ucrs so a sewn in version is off my radar.

I've never had them slip. Surprised you had a problem with them.

They haven’t slipped on me. My big hands and the small hardware with tiny line are hard to maneuver esp when cold.

    Catzye and Dutch bling

I have about 100 + setup/takedowns with it and no problems. I switched from Lash-it because of the reflectiveness of the Catyze. Great stuff and I have yet to have someone trip over my lines since the switch.

Cold is also not a problem for me with this set up.

So I take it that Catzye will work with Dutch bling like hooks, stingers and tarp worms? Also got some Nama claws to use instead of Prusik knots, that was tight with zing it.

The bling in the picture I made. It is very close to Dutch Worms and the Catzye works very well. It is the same for me as Zing-it or Lash-it. The Nama Claws also work great with Catzye.
