    Beach Camping

I am planning a bachelors party to a place down in Florida where we can "primitive camp" really close to the beach, though if you ask me hammock camping is far from primitive. I would really appreciate any advice on how to do this. Some questions in particular are what to do about hanging? I don't think there is an abundance of trees, so I was thinking of making and bringing some turtle dog stands. What would be the lightest way to go about that? Or if you have a better idea or any suggestion for this I would LOVE to hear them. Also, any other suggestions for beach camping or on sand would be greatly appreciated.

PS: does anybody know how to change this username I made when I was 12. It's pretty cringe worthy.

    >$300, but the tato hammock stand looks like a solid solution for no tree hammock camping, and lighter, easier to set up than turtle dogs. Pricey though.

deadman anchor system. It not a what but a how. dig a hole deep enough, place a 2x2 with a loop of rope around the middle down in the bottom and fill it back up. dump some water on it to really compact the sand. then tie to the loop that is above the sand.

We just used this solution for a weekend hang on South Padre Island in Texas. They work a treat.

For suspension we buried a pair of 12' long 4x4s around 4" into the sand. Worked a treat with two deadman anchors to keep tension on the poles, and the tarps.

    Good luck.

The tensahedron stand is light and does not need huge anchors. That would be my preferred stand if I had the money. You can DIY a heavy version with conduit.
The essential part of me can not be discussed here. Ask me in person.
