Lash-it or Zing-it are commonly used for hammock ridgelines. Great for tarp lines and other things as well.

I like 2.2mm Lash-It/Zing-It for my adjustable ridgelines.
I use standard 1.75 Zingit for the ARL.
Yes, my pack weighs 70lbs, but it's all light weight gear....

An adjustable structural ridgeline can be made the same as a whoopie sling the difference being you don’t need a lot of adjustability so the adjustable loop can be smaller and you have a much longer distance between the fixed eye loop and the bury of the adjustable loop (feet instead of inches). Not to say it can’t be made exactly like a regular whoopie sling but that uses more cordage than is needed.
