    Hey everyone

Been hammock camping for about a year now.

Wasnt sure how I would feel about it. Turns out I freakin love it. Have gone pretty deep in on it all, watching shug, syntax77, and Dutchs videos. Researching all the cottage dealers and using this site to learn as much as I can.

When I started I had purchased a good amazon brand called wiseowl, if youre looking to try out hammocks and arent sure about it they are good cheap brand to get a full kit (hammock, straps, tarps, and bugnet) for a very reasonable price.

Once i realized how much hammock camping is for me I upgraded, got my hands on a Sheltowee Boone 20*, Arch hammock(w/ a dutchware summer sock bugnet) AND the 12'x10' rectangle palisades shelter (currently in the shop to get upgrades). As a fellow Kentuckian it just felt right to invest in a home company, and Alex has been nothing short of amazing helping me really get things just right. Also have a Hammock Gear 10* TQ on the way.

Extremely grateful and proud to be a part of this community.

Welcome from ATL. You know its a disease, right? You will own multiple hammocks and quilts at some point so that someone seeing your gear closet assumes you're a hoarder, LOL. But fantastic choice on supporting in-state business AND getting an awesome hammock! Enjoy!! Actually, the Boone may be somewhat of a cure for the multiple hammock and quilt sickness, hope so for your wallet's sake.
