what there will be beer there, rofl. looks like we might get some snow during the weekend last i seen was 1-3 and maybe an inch if we are lucky tonight. i will most likely be showing up friday morning early since my days and nights are reversed. i will bring some wood to get the fire started.

Unfortunately, Pam and I have to cancel.

We got into a car accident not too long ago and are still currently car shopping...I'm borrowing a friends car and can't justify a whole weekend of camping when I am unable to car shop much during the week because my work hours. This is my favorite camping event all year, so bummed we are going to miss it!! I think Pam is more bummed than I am...lol

I removed myself from the spreadsheet.

Have fun everybody and have a few beers for me, and more than a couple for Pam.

Sorry to hear that Boulder! Will miss you guys, and seeing your latest DIY experiments.

Anybody going through Kalamazoo sometime Friday? Looking for a ride, and definitely willing to pitch in for gas money. I have 2 rubbermaid totes for gear, and could probably squeeze down to 1 by compacting my UQ/sleeping bags if space is an issue. Beth always worries about driving long distances in the winter, and it would ease her mind if I was going with someone else. Don't have plans for Sunday, and will take a vacation day Friday, depending on when you are planning on driving through, so very flexible on timing. Only preference is to get to the park before sunset and be able to set up in the light for once!

This may be a silly question but what stakes should I bring for tarp anchoring? With the ground being frozen not sure my aluminum ones will be up to the task.

Looks like a cold and beautiful weekend everyone.
It will be 72 degrees in Mexico where I will be at, but I will really miss a great Michigan hang.

6" gutter spikes/nails work well. Easy to pound in.

I'd be surprised if the ground is frozen enough to warrant spikes. I used regular stakes at nordhouse 2 weeks ago and had no issues.
