Main trail is in great condition. Walked out this morning to meet turkey. Today there is a few ponds, it should be frozen by morning.
Life has no remote. Get up and change it yourself!

Just went to REI in Troy for micro spikes, and our hammock friend Todd just lent me his sled on a whim. Super nice guy

For those of us that have to deal with that 4 letter word "WORK", these updates are killing me. I find it very interesting that the original 3-4 day GT Big Tree Hang has now evolved in to an almost weeklong and super extended weekend hang. Just an observation.

I'm pretty much all packed and even loaded the sled in the car. Tomorrow morning I'll just have to pull the food out from the freezer and I'll be good to go. 6AM blast off from Clarkston!

It's killing me too that I can't get out early. I wanted to take Friday off and get out there Thursday night with Donk but after missing a week of work with the flu I am stuck. Plan on tamales for Saturday!

Someone needs to push the 15-day limit/same spot on state land rule next year. How many lbs of bacon for that...20?

I think I'll try Hare trail as well just for something new.
You may want to read through last year's trip planning thread. There are some good maps and discussions on which way to go if coming in from Hare Rd.
