Woahhh, this is crazy. I'm new to this forum so I was just looking around today, trying to become familiar with the site when I stumbled upon this thread. What's crazy is I was planning on doing a day hike on the Bell Mountain loop way later today (after I go to sleep), which just so happens to be the same day you guys planned this trip. Unfortunately, I do not have the gear for overnight backpacking, however, I asked a friend of mine if I could borrow his quilts and tarp (all I have of my own is a hammock) and he let me pick it up tonight. I plan on arriving at the trailhead around 1. I'm excited for my first overnight trip and to meet everyone. I will be coming in a white blazer (the car, not a trail marker..).

Or dinner jacket? Ties are not required.

Maybe formerly, but certainly not this time.

Awesome!!! Welcome Jonathan!!! Though we aren’t new to the forums, this will be our first HF event, too. I’m already en route but have a few extra pieces of gear with me if you need something else...just holler while we are still near our vehicles!

Rayn, Rem, and I will arrive in a few hours...

    BELL MOUNTAIN BOUND!!!

SO bummed that equipment failures forced us off the mountain. Thanks so much to you folks that offered a tarp to us, but it was decided for.us to get out the moment it ripped. Stay safe out there! Wish we were there.

I wish I could have made it. I'm just getting over this cold that's been threatening to move to my chest. Decided it was in my best interest to not be out breathing cool damp air all weekend. Not sure if I could have made the hike in and out as sick as I've been. Hope you all had fun

Lucid and Alex (hope I got that right) were giving me info on free trail apps and map sources. I don't remember all of the details. If you get a chance and don't mind, please either post them here or PM them to me. I'd really appreciate it. And I'll give you a free homemade alcohol stove that you don't want at the next hang for your trouble!
