Hi everyone. My name is Rob. I’ve been lurking for a while and thought it was about time i introduced myself.

I’ve camped, backpacked and canoed for over 25 years and I started using a Hennessy Hammock about 2 years ago when a friend generously gifted it to me. I can honestly say that I’d never willingly go back to a tent.

I appreciate everything I’ve learned on the forum so far and hope to contribute in the future.

Ok, I just read the thread on that trip and my mouth is watering from all of the food talk.

I don’t think that weekend is going to work for me but if I can I’ll drop by on Sat afternoon to introduce myself.

The Trans Canada Trail aka The Great Trail was “completed” this year but it is mostly paved trails or shoulders of roads/highways. I love the idea of a hiking trail across Canada but this isn’t it (at least for me).
