    Snowshoeing Near Duluth?

G'day, all. I'm looking for some good locales and local knowledge for hiking near Duluth, MN this winter. I'd like to be able to pack in with my pulk and stay off of the heavily used ski trails for a few nights on trail, followed by a few in town, as some friends will be joining me for the latter part to do some day snowshoe hikes. Any advice is welcomed...many thanks!

I can't help you with the info, but man if you're going to hike into the BWCA during the winter, PLEASE post up pics and a trip report! That'd be a cool trip.
