Believe it or not,I actually feel great.Minor soreness in the calves.I think that since I drank some electrolytes on trail that it helped with what I lost in "trail sweat" as parts of the trail were somewhat strenuous.I must admit I felt humbled by the people JOGGING the trail and the speed of some of the younger people.(They never bot a 6 oz Coke for a nickel or mailed a hand written love letter with a 4 cent stamp I reckon......)

Great job by both of you. I'm not sure I could hike the approach trail right now with a 30# pack on but I'll get there as the weather cools down.

Five Tango, maybe use Dutch’s 2.0 webbing for entire suspension. Maybe a pair of 15 foot tree huggers with loops on both ends.
Becket hitch will be fine—-use slipped version of becket hitch and hand tighten in all directions before levitation.
Mule tape is ok but not my first choice because it’s slippery and picks up leaf litter in forest.
Thanks for sharing yall’s great trip reports.
Phantom no knot expert—-just crazy about simple hammock knots to get me suspended..

    Thanks for sharing, SHB...

I live in Oconee so we're practically neighbors! I enjoyed this video as well as your other "backyard" videos. I would love some advice on the local hiking/camping. If you'd be willing to share your knowledge please shoot me a PM. Thanks!

Thanks PG,I have done that but incorporated a Dutch poly/dyneema 4 foot tree hugger with a 15 foot Sypder 2.0 strap that ties on to the CL with the Beckit hitch.I was not impressed with the Spyder 2.0 on the tree as it has a tendency to fold over on itself but it is very light weight and stronger than mule tape.

After losing my suspension for 24 hours on the last trip out I am thinking about packing 2.6 oz of mule tape just in case anyone should ever have the same issue.(note:I already have some in stock or I would add some more Spyder as back up).

Yes, FT, the 2.0 can become ropelike and hard to flatten. You’ve found a workable solution.
