    Complete newbie indoor hanging problem

    Hi Folks.
I decided to go on with everyday hammock sleeping. We will see how it works. I have read the forum, but still need some answers.
I decided to go with wide netless 11ft hexon.
But now I really need your help for suspension (indoor).
    I am thinking about 2 eye bolts + 2 short chains + 2 amsteel continous loops ( https://dutchwaregear.com/bridge-ham...pie-hooks.html ) + 4 Dutchware carabiners ( https://dutchwaregear.com/dw-carabiners.html )
Would that be working? My main concern are carabiners as I have no idea whether they are good to hang them to the chain?
If what I wrote is complete nonsense then please give some advice on better solution.
    Thanks in advance!!!

Why bother with a chain and heavy biner? You can’t adjust it and can’t use it on the trail. Use some whoopie slings with whoopie hooks. Get the 7/64 whoopies and continuous loops, unless you’re a really big guy, then go 1/8 and use dutch-biners.

I currently am using what I found in this thread

    https://www.hammockforums.net/forum/...to-hang-inside

I have 1/8" Continuous Loops onto the Double Stud Fittings and Carabiners connecting my hammock to those CLs.

    You mean this https://dutchwaregear.com/whoopie-ho...uspension.html
But how do I connect it to the wall? Also how much "space" does it take?
Also what big guy means? i weight almost 200 pounds.

If I have that fitiing I would only have to buy continous loop and 2 carabins?

    Final set :
    2 x http://www.mudstuff.co.uk/products/c...-tracking.html
    2 x http://www.mudstuff.co.uk/single-stud-ring.html
    2 x https://dutchwaregear.com/dw-carabiners.html
    2 x https://dutchwaregear.com/amsteel-continuous-loops.html
    And hammock of course?
Is continous loop enough or i need whoopie hook?

    I'd use http://www.mudstuff.co.uk/double-stud-ring.html

The need for whoopie sling/hook would depend on how far apart you mount. The CL attached to one of my double studs is a custom length and the CL on the other one is a 15"

rail, then dbl stud, then CL, then carabiner, then hammock

I used some static line I had lying around to determine the length I had to go before I made the custom 1/8" CL because my attachments were so close together I couldn't use a whoopie sling.

Oh, and I'm using a dutchware 12kn carabiner at one end (as in your link above) and a dutch-biner at the other (mostly because I couldn't find both of my dutch-biners).

My general recommendation is to use a suspension that you will want to take on the trail. That way you really get the “hang” of it. Your experience with it will pay off on the trail. You may even learn that you prefer something else and you get to figure that out before you head out for the trail too. And finally, it’s probably going to be cheaper for just one suspension instead of two!

But when it comes to how you mount it to your walls, it would do you well if you use a system that allows you raise and lower the anchor points.

    Thank you very much!
    That was critically helpful
#HandyRandy thanks and all you say is undoubtly true, however, now I need some budget start. Maybe I am going to buy new equipment some time in the future. Spring or summer.

might be an option instead of making the 1/8" custom CL (if one of these comes close enough to the right length)

The adjustable anchors are nice, but kind of expensive. I went cheap also, I went with 3/8" hooks (not eye bolts) and I'm hefty hanger over 350lbs. The hooks haven't budged, believe me, I check often lol. The only reason I went that route is because I already had them. hanging 1" polyester webbing off the hooks(cause I have tons of that also) , then connect to descender rings off my hammocks CL. I had everything to do it, but even if I didn't , its probly less than a $20 suspension.
