It's beginning to look like I will be going to Green Ridge state forest. Less hiking but may get some fishing done. Though this timer of year it will be mostly relaxing and watching the pond. I'm going to try out the turtle dog stand with a mid day nap and see if I stay above ground before trying to go a whole night in it. I'll probably bring a few of my DIY stoves to field test as well. I'll post again before I leave tomorrow morning after my dentist appointment just in case anyone wants to join or meet elsewhere.

Beautiful sunrise on the water this morning for MDcrab and I. Did a few miles on the MD-T again, now back to relax for the rest of the day and hang again on the beach tonight. Anyone in the area is welcome to join us, Plenty of room and awesome views! Got down to 44° last high, perfect for a hang. Should be a touch warmer tonight, but not much. I'm running out now for a bit to watch my youngest daughter cheer, but I'll be back around 5 .If anyone is interested, pm MDcrab and he can give me a call. He is hanging out again tonight, and I think he's gonna do some fishing until I get back, so he will be down on the beach while I'm gone if anyone wants to come on over. Pics to come, hope to see a few of you later maybe ~ Chesapeake

    Sounds great. Have fun tonight.
    I sew things on youtube.
I don’t sew on commission, so please don’t ask. Thanks.

    Hey Crabs:

I'm in Charles Co. Trying to set up a group hang for MAHHA locally in Southern MD. Have you ever tried doing that? Are there parks around that will allow group hangs? Fall MAHHA was real fun, except for the parking situation. Roast Pig was the highlight! See you at the next MAHHA or before on the trail. I may attempt to hike Dolly Sods or elsewhere in WV in the Spring. Pretty sure they have no rules on hammock camping anywhere out there.

I've seen several posts and videos on YouTube of hammockers doing dolly sods area. Sounds and looks like a great place to hike.
