I switch my suspension between any if my 5 or so hammocks, all with CL already attached. I could use the JB by clipping its CL to the hammock CL with a Dutch biner, which I already have, but is there a better way?

The buckles need to be free and loose and the very best way it to have a loop spliced through them. Not larks head and a Dutch Biner won't fit.

Check out the Lawson Loop-D-Loop. Seems like this would be the perfect application for it.

I'd keep the CL on the June Bugs. The biner was to jointhe CL from the JB to the CL on the hammock.

Hey, Dutch... could I safely replace the continuous loop on the June Bug with a soft shackle to allow me to hook it to my hammock CL?

As long as it is a soft shackle that can handle the load you are okay.
